My time spent with KLSCAH is one of the best decisions I have made in 2020. Interning at KLSCAH was a valuable and rewarding experience in the sense that no two days were ever the same and I was trusted with tasks that involved translation, writing articles, research, design and organising virtual events.
During my time here, I have had the opportunity to listen to many high-profile speakers engaging in discussions on current issues, providing insights on Malaysia’s current development.
The internship has given me valuable work experience while complementing my academic interests and gave me a glimpse through the organization’s 97 years of establishment and their involvement in the society. I am forever grateful to have been given the opportunity to intern with KLSCAH and for my co-workers who have been extremely friendly, helpful and open-minded.

My three-month internship at KLSCAH was brief yet fulfilling. Besides handling general administrative tasks including organising meeting minutes and translating documents, I was also honoured to have worked on the Annual General Meeting, both in front of and behind the scenes.
As a prominent civil society organisation, KLSCAH offered me valuable insights into its contributions to the Chinese community and civil society. I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of various social issues and the internal operation of clubs and societies as well. I am very grateful to KLSCAH for providing me the internship opportunity and to my kind and supportive colleagues at the Secretariat for their care and guidance.
