KLSCAH Statement: Be responsible, emergency is not necessary

The Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH) expresses confidence that the government’s budget tabled on 6 November 2020 will be smoothly passed after rigorous debates as in previous years. There is no necessity to implement Emergency!

KLSCAH urges all individuals and groups to act responsibly and refrain from promoting views that a state of emergency would be proclaimed in response to the political situation.

KLSCAH cautions, a proclamation of emergency will send shock waves to the economy, causing market panics and crashes, as it will be read internationally and domestically as the sign of worsening political turmoil.
