<\/strong>The “Committee of Preserving Jalan Sultan” (Com-PJS) is an initiative comprises of The Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH), the owners and traders from Jalan Sultan & Jalan Petaling. The main purpose of this Com-PJS is to save guard and preserve the heritage zone of the Petaling Street community.<\/p>\n

Under the KL structural plan 2020, Jalan Sultan, Jalan Petaling & Jalan HS Lee have been identified as heritage zone. The proposed new MRT line should avoid building along Jalan Sultan as the massive construction work would destroy and damage the valuable century old buildings and creating unwelcoming social impact to the community. The Com-PJS is not against development and has taken the initiative in taking studies and offered alternative workable re-route to the MRT management.<\/p>\n

To provide a better understanding of the MRT issue, realignment appeal and the future action of the Com-PJS to the public, Com-PJS will held a special briefing conducted in English.<\/p>\n
