Located at the edge of Kampung Attap as one of the neighbourhood\u2019s most visible landmarks, the oldest among the venue participants of this year\u2019s #PESZTA is the KL & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, which celebrates their centenary this year They feature 2 historical exhibitions that centre Chinese-Malaysian culture, telling the story of the achievements, struggles, and concerns of the community throughout the eras. Get your dose of history before going to explore the activities in the other venues.<\/p>\n

:You may have heard of Jalan Loke Yew, the road named after the legendary pioneer city-builder Loke Yew, but how much do you know about the man himself? Take a journey through time in this showcase of Loke Yew\u2019s outstanding contributions to building of the modern state of Kuala Lumpur. Loke Yew (1846\u20131917), originally from Heshan, Guangdong, China, was a renowned Chinese businessman in Malaya from the mid-1880s to the 1910s.<\/div>\n

In honour of the 100th anniversary of the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH), a captivating history corridor has been curated to celebrate its rich heritage.
