\nIn April 2012, a group of mothers from across Malaysia came together to support BERSIH 3.0 through social media, and launched sign-up activities for eight major electoral reforms. On April 28, this group participated in the BERSIH 3.0 rally under the name Mama BERSIH. By May 2012, Mama BERSIH was officially established to raise awareness of civic concerns among mothers and create a platform for them to engage in social movements. This group has since participated in various social movements to promote awareness and actively discuss important issues. Additionally, Mama BERSIH organizes gatherings for mothers from different areas to encourage interaction and community building.<\/p>\n

\nIn July 2011, owners of 34 premises at Jalan Sultan received Land Acquisition Act Form E from the Land Office respectively as the latter was planning to construct Mass Rapid Transit (MRT). There were 24 owners of premises affected by the MRT project and only Gospel Hall Kuala Lumpur, Yan Keng Benevolent Dramatic Association and Lok Ann Hotel stood their objection firmly with reluctance to sign the agreement. Yet, Lok Ann Hotel attended the Land Office frequently to follow up and emphasized they put heritage first place instead of profit. In addition, Lok Ann Hotel was a family heritage, it was where they bonded the whole family.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/klscah.org.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/a-samad-said4-194x300.jpg\")
