The Malayan Emergency was a central moment in the history of the Malayan Left, as the colonial state violently cracked down on the anti-imperialist movement. In commemorating the Malayan Emergency we hope to keep the memories alive of those who lived through the Emergency, in the jungles, the new villages and the towns and cities of Malaya, as well as generate a dialogue between those who lived through the Emergency and younger generations on people\u2019s struggles, then and now.<\/p>\n

Darurat Malaya merupakan detik penting dalam sejarah pergerakan haluan Kiri di Malaya semasa pemerintahan penjajah pada masa itu bertindak keras untuk menghapuskan gerakan anti-imperialis. Demi memperingati Darurat Malaya, kami berharap dapat mengekalkan kenangan mereka yang melalui zaman Darurat di hutan, kampung-kampung baru dan bandar-bandar di Malaya, serta menjalin dialog antara mereka yang melalui zaman Darurat dengan generasi muda tentang perjuangan rakyat pada masa dahulu dan sekarang.<\/p>\n
